Meet Our Team

Dr. Jacob Heaberlin, AKA Dr. Jake (not from State Farm), is from Greenup County, Kentucky. He is a graduate of Russell High School and began his premedical studies at Morehead State University. He graduated from Logan University with his Bachelors in Human Biology and Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2009. He passed the Chiropractic National Board of Acupuncture in 2013, and was granted a license by the State of Missouri to practice acupuncture. Dr. Jake has practiced chiropractic and taught Anatomy Physiology at Lincoln University for the last five years in Missouri with his two kids Lucas and Sophia. Dr. Heaberlin is a past board member of Cuba Chamber of Commerce.

Edwina Spence is from Eastern Kentucky and graduated from Morehead State University with her Bachelor of Nursing degree.  She also attended the University of Kentucky and obtained her Master of Science in Family Practice for Nurse Practitioner in 2011.  She has experience in Emergency Medicine as an RN and NP as well as Family Practice and Primary Care with men’s and women’s health, pediatrics, and weight loss. 

Her favorite pastime activities are spending time with her blended family of 6 children and her doggy, sewing, hiking, gardening and music. 

Jerry Greer has been with the Axis Team for 8 months now, and we are thrilled to be showing his face in office now to gain his expertise in health and wellness. He has over 11 years’ in health and wellness, specifically coaching healthy lifestyles as well as competitive athletes. He has his degree in Criminal Justice Administration but his passion is in helping others achieve their fitness and health goals!

He is the father of three grown daughters and just had a second grandson in May of this year! In my downtime I can be found spoiling him or chasing my own fitness goals! We are excited to have Jerry has part of the team and cannot wait to help you all dominate your weight loss goals by promoting a healthy lifestyle.
